After a domain name passes its expiration date, it is put in Client Hold status.
While a domain name is in Client Hold status, the website and email associated with
the expired domain name will not work. During the Client Hold period, the domain name
may be renewed by the registrant as normal.
On the 40th day after expiration, the expired domain name enters the Redemption Grace Period*.
The Redemption Grace Period lasts 30 days. During the Redemption Grace Period, the cost to
reactivate a domain name and renew it for one year is $59.
If a domain name is not renewed by the end of the Redemption Grace Period, it will enter
Pending Delete status. During Pending Delete status, the domain name cannot be recovered.
The Domain Name will be unregistered and made publicly available after spending 5-7 days
in Pending Delete status. Pair Domains does not control the
deletion of domains during Pending Delete status.
*There is no Redemption Grace Period for WS domain names. WS domain names proceed directly
from Client Hold status to Pending Delete status.
